Cimarron General Custer .45 Long Colt Single-Action Revolver
This is Cimarron’s rendition of George Armstrong Custer’s seventh Cavalry Model revolver. The Custer seventh Cavalry Model is an exceptionally exact duplicate of the principal U.S. Gov’t models of 1873. These early guns were assessed for mandate by non military personnel assessor Orville W. Ainsworth, delivered to Ft. Lincoln and utilized by troops of the seventh Cavalry under the order of General George Armstrong Custer. Each bona fide gun is appropriately set apart with “Ainsworth” review markings, an OWA Cartouche, two-line patent dates and “U.S.” on the casing. Stepped into the butt of the backstrap is the organization and seventh Cavalry markings. Creation of this model is restricted to 2000 units for every one of the five organizations (C,E,F,I,L) that will die under Custer’s order at Little BigHorn.
